Sports Rules

General Sports Betting Rules

The following rules govern all wagers placed with 33bd on sporting events. They apply to every market unless a market‑specific rule states otherwise. 33bd may interpret or modify these rules to preserve the integrity of wagering, subject to the terms published on the site.

  • Settlement and official results are based on the official result published by the governing body or event organizer. If the official result is not published, 33bd may settle bets using verifiable data from recognized sources at its discretion.
  • Bets are void if the event is not completed as scheduled, or if the market is affected by a fundamental error in pricing or entry. Bets may be resettled within 48 hours if settlement errors are identified.
  • Only live published prices available at the time a bet is placed are valid for wagering. Bets placed on prices subsequently deemed incorrect may be voided.
  • Customers cannot cancel or alter bets after confirmation. Bets deemed to have been placed in error may be voided by 33bd.
  • 33bd reserves the right to suspend settlement pending investigation in cases of suspected fraud, integrity concerns, or tampering with an event or betting channels. Bets affected by such issues may be voided or withheld pending authoritative determination.
  • Markets are for regular or specified time periods unless a market explicitly states otherwise. If an event deviates from its standard format, markets may be voided.
  • In the event an event is abandoned, postponed, or rescheduled, all unresolved bets stand only if the event resumes within the period stated in the market description; otherwise, bets may be voided or treated as no action.
  • Outright markets settle on the official result of the listed selection, with non‑participants treated as losses unless otherwise stated. Dead heat rules apply where specified.
  • All onsite information, scoreboards, and statistics are guides and may be delayed. Settlement is not based on live onsite data unless the official result is not published and verifiable data is used as permitted.

Official Results and Time to Action

  • Official results are determined by the governing body. If an official result is published after the event finishes but within the applicable settlement window, it governs settlement.
  • If a match is suspended or postponed and not completed as scheduled, bets on the outcome are typically void unless an official winner is declared for the event within the designated window.
  • Overtime and extra periods are counted for markets where the market description requires or permits it. Absent explicit instruction, overtime is treated as part of the official result for settlement purposes.
  • For player‑specific or prop markets, outcomes tracked by official statistics determine settlement unless the market specifies otherwise.

Postponed, Delayed, or Rescheduled Events

  • When an event is postponed or rescheduled, 33bd may designate the bets as No Action, unless a winner is declared for the event within a defined period. In such cases, existing bets remain active until the event is completed or voided under these rules.
  • If an event is moved to a different venue or the field of play changes, bets on affected markets may be voided unless the market description states otherwise.
  • For playoff or championship events, rules may vary by market; where the market description governs, that description supersedes general rules.

Market Integrity and Disputes

  • 33bd may void bets or cancel wagers if there is evidence of cheating, manipulation, or attempted cheating affecting an event or its betting markets.
  • Disputes over results or data should be resolved according to the governing body’s official result. When official data is unavailable, 33bd will base settlement on the most reliable, commonly accepted data available, with decisions subject to review.
  • In cases of incorrect scores or prices that materially affect settlement, 33bd reserves the right to void the affected market or resettle at the correct price as determined by authoritative sources.

Sport Specific Rules Overview

  • Markets are settled on official match results, unless the market states a different basis or time period.
  • In‑play and prop markets rely on official statistics or event outcomes as published by the relevant governing bodies or organizers.
  • Where multiple sports share common rules (for example time thresholds to declare action), those thresholds are provided within the sport sections below and are binding for settlement.

American Football

  • Official status of a game for wagering purposes occurs after 55 minutes of play; time does not include stoppages aside from defined periods unless stated otherwise.
  • Minimum time for payout: markets are settled only after a minimum of 55 minutes of play in a 60‑minute game unless the market specifies otherwise. If less than 55 minutes is played, markets with a known result may be settled; otherwise, bets are void.
  • Overtime is counted for player specific markets where applicable. Team markets settle on the official posted result, including overtime when specified in the market description.
  • Postponed or rescheduled NFL or college games are generally No Action unless an official result is declared within the applicable business rules.

Basketball

  • For markets across different leagues, non NBA competitions require at least 35 minutes of play for action; NBA (professional) markets typically settle on the completed game result and may incorporate overtime where the market specifies.
  • Second half totals include overtime; fourth‑quarter lines do not include overtime unless specified. Double result pools are settled by the half and the full game, with overtime included where stated.
  • Player and team props use official game statistics for settlement, including overtime periods where applicable.

Baseball

  • Games are official after five innings of play unless the home team is ahead after 4 ½ innings; if the game is called or suspended after this point, the last completed inning is used to determine the final score for wagering, except where the home team ties or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning.
  • Run lines and totals generally require nine innings of play (8 ½ if the home team is winning). If a game is suspended and not completed, it will carry over only as defined for postseason or special events; in regular season games, suspended games are usually No Action unless the market description specifies otherwise.
  • Listed Pitchers rules apply: Action binds a bet to the listed pitchers; LP requires both listed pitchers to start; PT binds to the listed pitcher for the bet’s team; TP binds to the opposing team’s listed pitcher; changes in pitching may adjust the price or result in No Action if applicable under the market.
  • Baseball props and run lines may require listed pitchers to start; if none of the named pitchers throw a pitch, the bet is considered No Action. Rain, delay, and suspension rules may affect grading; in some cases, bets remain pending until a definitive conclusion is reached.
  • Mercy rules and ballpark specifics apply in certain leagues; post‑season and special events may have distinct settlement rules as described in the market terms.

Hockey

  • Games are official after 55 minutes of play for wagering purposes. Markets include Money Line, Puck Line, and Total Goals, with the full game being the default reference unless the market specifies a period or segment.
  • Overtime: If the game is decided in overtime or a shootout, the official result including overtime counts for settlement when the market specifies; otherwise, the standard official result applies.

Soccer

  • Matches are expected to be played on the date and site scheduled unless the rules of the competition provide otherwise. If a match is suspended before full time and is not completed the same day, wagers on the outcome are void and refunds may be issued unless a winner is declared later according to applicable regulations.
  • Auto racing, golf, tennis, mixed martial arts and boxing are not bound by the same constraint in rule application and may have additional terms in their sport sections.
  • Rescheduling or changes to the team lineup or venue may void affected markets unless the market description specifies otherwise.

Tennis

  • Matches are settled on the official result of the governing body. If a match is not completed, bets are void unless the market explicitly states otherwise.
  • Markets may specify whether tiebreaks or final set rules apply; where not stated, standard governing body rules apply to settlement.

Golf

  • Official results as published by the governing body determine settlement. If a round is halted or suspended, markets may be settled according to the rules of the event and the official result at the time of the interruption.

Auto Racing and Other Sports

  • Auto racing, MMA, UFC and boxing have separate market specifications; where the general rules apply, the market description prevails. Special caps, weather delays, and event‑specific terms will be set in the market description for each event.
